Every job has 3 fixed sizes. Prices are researched for each country from local price guides and booking sites, in your own money, so pros get the local going rate. Big cities like London, Paris and New York cost 5–30% more, already shown when you book. Travel and a booking fee of $4 (the same in your money) are added, and you see the full price before you book. If something goes wrong, a Handoff referee settles it with both sides on a video call, for a flat fee of about 15 dollars, pounds or euros in your money.
How pricing works
Your price covers the visit and the job you described. A verified pro comes, finds the problem and fixes it. In an emergency, he stops the damage first.
Bigger than you booked? Your pro can ask to move the job up one size, at that size's fixed price. You approve or decline. Decline before he arrives and another pro takes your job at your price. Decline once he's at your home and you choose: he does just what you booked, at your price, or you end the job and pay only the visit fee (half the small price).
Need a part or extra work? The pro sends you a photo and the price in the app. Nothing extra happens until you approve it.
Parts are charged at the receipt price + 5%. You see the receipt, and you never pay more than the price you approved. No receipt, no charge for that part.
Say no to an extra? You only pay the price you booked.
Proof first. The pro shows you what's broken before replacing anything. If he isn't sure, he tells you before you approve.
Small items are included. Nuts, washers, tape and screws are never charged. Only real parts worth about 10 dollars, pounds or euros or more can be added.
Prefer to buy the parts yourself? You can. The pro tells you exactly what to get and comes back to fit them. You pay for the fitting work and one trip back.
Your video protects you. If it shows the problem and the pro can't do the job, you pay nothing and your job goes straight to another pro.
Hidden problems. Sometimes the real problem is inside a wall or under the floor. If so, the pro sends you a photo of what he found, taken at your home, and you pay only his travel for that visit. Think it's not right? Tap "Question this charge" and our team checks it before you pay.
Change of plans? Cancel for free any time before your pro arrives. If your pro is late, you can send your job to another pro.
You pay your pro directly when the job is done: cash, card or bank transfer. You agree to the price when you book. Your pro tells you when it's finished, and you confirm it in the app.
